Dr James ChengChung Wei obtained his MD degree in National Yang Ming University and PhD degree in Chung Shan medical university. After training in rheumatology and clinical immunology at Taichung Veterans General Hospital and Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, he undertook a fellowship at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath, UK, under the supervision of Professor Andrei Calin, and a research fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) under Professor David Yu, investigating the clinical and pathogenesis of spondyloarthritis.
Dr Wei had conducted over 200 global clinical trials. He is currently a full member of the ACR, GRAPPA and ASAS. He is also the scientific advisory board of the APALR, and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases, Q2, IF 2.4.
Dr Wei had published more than 600 papers in peer-reviewed SCI journals , such as the NEJM, JAMA, JAMA Network Open, Lancet, Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, Arthritis & Rheumatology, JAAD, Rheumatology, Journal of Autoimmunity & International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases…etc.Research & Clinical FocusAnkylosing spondylitis
